: If an amount is paid to a person by a post office employee who is more than what is required to be paid according to the check, if he does not return or refuses to return it without any reasonable reason, or if he is required to pay to any person according to a check. If the money has been paid to another person by the employee of the post office, if he does not return the amount paid by mistake or if he refuses to do so, the employee of the post office authorized by the Director General shall take such action and recover the amount due from such person as government property. If there is any reason for not returning such amount, the concerned person should be able to present and prove the reason.
